Agricultural Research and Development

 

We stand out for creating acerola varieties, such as NRA 309, known as “Junko”This variety brought a breakthrough to the natural vitamin C market by significantly increasing the levels of essential nutrients in our products. At our experimental site, we produce seedlings of this variety and distribute them free of charge to our growers through the Raw Material department, which allocates them to new planting areas and field renewal projects.

Our team is dedicated to rigorous testing of agricultural products, which is essential for optimizing acerola productivity and the efficiency in the use of inputs, such as water and nutrients. Our research aims not only to increase productivity, but also to ensure the sustainability of processes, minimizing environmental impact and improving resource efficiency.

At Niagro, we value our partnership with over 300 family farmers who cultivate acerola. This collaboration not only strengthens the local economy, but also reinforces our role in social and environmental responsibility.

With the support of the Raw Materials department, we ensure quality from planting to transportation. We offer free weekly technical assistance to our producers, ensuring that the entire process follows strict standards of food safety, good agricultural practices and sustainability.

The fruits harvested daily are collected, transported and identified by our team, receiving a thorough inspection before being stored. This process ensures complete traceability, from the field to the final product, guaranteeing quality and safety.
