In the second half of 2024, the influence of La Niña was observed on temperatures and rainfall, although with less intensity than expected in the Petrolina region. In the last two years, the Northeast of Brazil has faced a strong La Niña, with intense rainfall and extremely low nighttime temperatures, especially in 2022, resulting in one of the worst harvests in recent years.
